Eleven-Hole Two-Cationic Strip Fabric – Core Information

Eleven-Hole Two-Cationic Strip Fabric is a 100% polyester functional striped fabric. In the warp, 11 ordinary polyester filaments + 2 cationic-modified polyester filaments are arranged in a repeating pattern. Using a simultaneous cationic and disperse dyeing process, it forms clear bi-color stripes. This fabric features vivid colors, stable structure, and easy maintenance, making it suitable for home textiles, cleaning materials, apparel, and other applications.

1. Core Definition & Structure Principles

Yarn Arrangement Logic

"Eleven-Hole Two" refers to the warp yarn sequence: 11 ordinary polyester DTY filaments and 2 cationic polyester DTY filaments form one repeating unit, creating a vertical striped pattern. The weft uses standard low-stretch polyester filaments, woven into plain or twill patterns. The stripe spacing is even, providing a strong 3D effect.

Bi-Color Stripe Formation

Cationic polyester filaments (CDP/ECDP) contain acidic groups in the molecular chain, allowing them to accept cationic dyes. Ordinary polyester filaments accept only disperse dyes. Using a 100℃ atmospheric simultaneous dyeing process, each dye targets its corresponding filament. This creates a clear contrast between the two colors. Multi-color stripes are possible by varying the cationic filament colors.

2. Key Features

FeatureDescription
Bi-color Stripe EffectSharp stripe boundaries, high color saturation, wash fastness ≥3–4, rub fastness ≥4; repeated machine washing does not fade or bleed
Physical PerformanceFull polyester structure, tensile strength ≥180N/5cm, excellent wrinkle resistance, shrinkage ≤2%; stripe texture enhances surface friction, pill resistance ≥3
Production EfficiencySimultaneous dyeing replaces traditional yarn-dyed method; dyeing temperature is 30℃ lower than conventional polyester high-pressure dyeing, saving 30% energy and improving efficiency by 40%
Easy CareQuick-drying, non-shrinking, no ironing required; machine washable (≤40℃), resistant to mild alkali and bleaching
Functional ExpansionOptional finishes: anti-static, antibacterial, UV protection (UPF 30+), suitable for outdoor apparel, cleaning products, and other special applications

3. Common Specifications

SpecificationTypical Parameter
Yarn SpecificationWarp: 75D/36F ordinary polyester DTY + 75D/36F cationic polyester DTY; Weft: 75D/36F or 100D/36F ordinary polyester DTY
Fabric WidthGreige: 160–170cm; Finished: 150–160cm (including pre-shrinkage allowance)
GSM (Weight)150–300g/m²; home decor 150–200g/m², cleaning/workwear 220–300g/m²
Stripe DimensionsOne repeating unit: 0.8–1.2cm; stripe spacing tolerance ≤0.1cm; fine stripes 0.3–0.5cm, wide stripes 2–3cm
WeavePlain (smooth, durable), Twill (soft hand feel, clear texture); plain weave is the market mainstream

4. Production Process Highlights

  1. Warp Preparation
Arrange warp yarns in an 11:2 ratio, keeping cationic and ordinary filaments separate. Maintain even tension (20–25cN) to prevent stripe distortion.

  2. Weaving
Use water jet or rapier looms, 350–420rpm. Adjust warp feed and weft insertion to prevent broken ends or skipped yarns; ensure continuous stripe patterns.

  3. Dyeing
Dye bath includes cationic dye + disperse dye. pH 4.5–5.5, 100℃ atmospheric, 30 minutes. Post-dyeing washing removes unfixed dye and improves fastness.

  4. Finishing
Heat-set 130–150℃ to control width and shrinkage; optional softening or anti-static finish. Cut and four-thread overlock edges to prevent fraying.

5. Applications

  1. Home Textiles: Tablecloths, curtains, sofa covers, cushion covers. The bi-color stripe adds depth and texture, suitable for modern, Nordic styles, durable and easy to maintain.

  2. Cleaning Products: Cleaning cloths, tea towels, wiping cloths. Stripe texture enhances cleaning friction; bi-color differentiation helps zone cleaning; durable and washable.

  3. Apparel & Workwear: Casual wear, sportswear, labor uniforms. Wrinkle-resistant, no ironing needed; optional UV finish for outdoor apparel.

  4. Industrial Fabrics: Tent linings, bag linings, packaging materials. High strength and color stability enhance product appearance and functionality.

6. Care & Maintenance

  1. Washing: Machine wash ≤40℃ with neutral detergent; avoid bleach and strong alkaline detergents; wash with same colors to prevent bleeding.

  2. Drying: Air dry or low-temperature tumble dry ≤80℃; avoid direct sunlight to prevent fiber aging or stripe fading.

  3. Storage: Keep in dry, ventilated area; avoid humidity and sharp objects to prevent fraying.

  4. Prohibited: Do not dry clean; ironing ≤110℃ with cloth protection; avoid direct heat contact to prevent melting.
